The Patek Phillipe Calatrava Pilot Travel Time 5524r-001 was introduced a few days prior to Baselworld 2018. It features a rose gold case and a brown dial; it also marked the brand's adoptation of the Instagram platform as a means of communication. A smaller alternative was also introduced as ref 7234. Equipped with a second time-zone display and a date indication linked to local time, this self-winding Calatrava Pilot Travel Time has a rose gold case framing a brown dial with black-gradient rim. A refined look for this original timepiece paying tribute to the Patek Philippe tradition of aviator-style’s watches.

Patek Philippe is the last Family-Owned Independent Genevan Watch Manufacturer. Iconic models are the Nautilus, Aquanaut, Calatrava, Cubitus, Ellipse, Twenty~4 and grand complications. Since 1839 without interruption, Patek Philippe has been perpetuating the tradition of Genevan watchmaking. As the last family-owned independent watch manufacturer in Geneva, it enjoys total creative freedom to entirely design, produce and assemble what experts agree to be the finest timepieces in the world – following the vision of its founders Antoine Norbert de Patek (1839) and Adrien Philippe (1845). The company name became Patek Philippe in 1851, and it is under this name that Patek Philippe created the first Swiss wristwatch ever made in 1868. Thanks to its exceptional know-how, Patek Philippe maintains a tradition of innovation hailed by an impressive repertoire of more than 80 patents.
