Rolex Day-Date 40 Ref. 218206 has a platinum case. Presented in 2008, the Rolex Day-Date II, with its bigger case, builds on the exclusive heritage of the original Rolex Day-Date 36, the first watch to indicate the day of the week spelt out in full. Its ingenious engineering ensures that the day and date change simultaneously and instantaneously at midnight. The Day-Date II was discontinued in 2015 in favor of the Day-Date 40.
