Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref 16523 in yellow gold and stainless steel. Officially certified, self-winding chronometer with a chronograph "El Primero" movement Caliber 4030. Before Rolex brought production of the Daytona movement in-house, the Big Crown outsourced it from Zenith and the company's celebrated "El Primero" mechanical movement. Today, all Rolex chronograph movements are developed and produced entirely in-house, making this discontinued Rolex ref. 16523 something of a cult-favorite among collectors in the know.
