A NEW CHAPTER: Despite a period of dormancy lasting nearly four decades, Universal Genève gains revered status among vintage watch collectors. In 2023, the brand is acquired by private-investment firms Partners Group and CVC Capital Partners. Alfred Gantner, co-founder of Partners Group, tells the press, “Universal Genève is renowned for its in-house movements and mythical models. Watch enthusiasts have long dreamed of its permanent return.”
