Following the success of the “Jumbo” steel Royal Oak, Audemars Piguet introduced in 1977 the very first 18k yellow gold version under reference 5402BA, production of these models lasted until the early 1980s. Introduced in 1977, the yellow gold version was produced in 736 units, sold between 1977 and 1990. It is available in several dial variants, sometimes gemset.
